About the Presenters:
Vitaly Lee has been in the energy industry for over 20 years with a background primarily focused on commercial, project development, regulatory and asset management. He currently serves as the Executive Vice President of Development at BayWa r.e. Solar Projects where he oversees the development of BayWa r.e.’s solar project portfolio in the US and Mexico. BayWa r.e. is a leading global renewable energy developer, service supplier, wholesaler and energy solutions provider (solar, wind, bioenergy). Vitaly holds an MBA from USC and as well as Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Delaware where he focused on Public Finance and Taxation. Vitaly currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors at Sustain SoCal.
Gus Flores is the Principal Manager of Origination in Southern California Edison’s (SCE) Energy Procurement and Management organization. He and his team are responsible for conducting solicitations and negotiations for various energy products and contracts including energy storage, renewable energy, distributed energy resources, and resource adequacy. Previously he was Principal Manager of the Energy Trading group overseeing the execution of electricity, natural gas, and emissions transactions as well as dispatching SCE’s power plants. Prior to joining SCE, he held several roles with Constellation Energy. Mr. Flores earned a B.S. in Mathematics and Economics from the University of California Los Angeles and an MBA from the University of Southern California.
Lauren Randall is Director of Policy & Market Development for Sunrun, the leading home solar, storage and energy services company in the United States. Lauren works with the Policy, Business Development, and Energy Services departments to create opportunities for solar and storage, with a particular focus on affordable, multifamily projects in California. Previously, Lauren led the public affairs team for Sunrun’s Policy department. Lauren started her political career in Washington, D.C. as a fellow with Environment America and later as a Press Secretary for Sierra Club’s national Beyond Coal campaign. Lauren graduated magna cum laude from Union College in New York and received her master’s degree from UC Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy. Lauren is an avid runner, reader, and organizer.
