Despite the incredible value of stored energy, many solar projects still suffer from low storage attachment rates, resulting in missed opportunity for enterprises and Solar EPCs alike. In exploring this phenomena, Stem interviewed Solar Partners in order to reveal the factors that both positively and negatively impact attachment rates. Throughout this process, a common thread began to emerge: the need for education on renewable energy storage. In order to address this need, Stem is proud to announce the Partner Program.
In 2019, Stem conducted extensive research with Solar Partners on the subject of attachment rates for solar storage. While a great deal of helpful information was exposed, one common thread was a constant throughout the interviews: the need for education. While many in the C&I space clearly see the value of solar energy and other renewables, the importance of storage tends to be a bit more elusive, despite its monumental benefits.
