Sustain SoCal invites it members, strategic partners and guests to dial-in to our weekly Community Teleconference. Held each Thursday at 2 pm Pacific time, these informal interactive discussions are led by Sustain SoCal members and address strategies and solutions within our recovery and beyond as they relate to energy, supply chain management, transportation, water, human capital management, agriculture, smart cities, cybersecurity, waste stream management, Community Choice Aggregation (CCA), cleantech economic development, ESG and impact investing and more.
In this upcoming teleconference session, Sustain SoCal Board member Sulaiman Hamidi of Allergan, plc will outline strategies for managing employee safety during the COVID-19 pandemic. Points to be addressed and discussed will include:
• Organization structure to manage COVID issues
• Management of employees with COVID-related symptoms
• Keeping essential employees safe – temperature monitoring, masks, social distancing, cleaning and more
• Working from home program

About the Presenter:
Sulaiman Hamidi is Director of Sustainability and Product Stewardship for Allergan, plc. In this role, he is responsible for the development, and implementation of company-wide sustainability programs including sustainability metrics, engagement with internal and external stakeholders on sustainability initiatives, and sustainability reporting. Sulaiman works in close partnership with R&D, Sales, and Manufacturing functions to assess the environmental impact of Allergan products. He joined Allegan in 2006 and was responsible for compliance and health and safety programs. Before joining Allergan, Sulaiman was responsible for managing environmental, health, and safety programs at the facility, regional, and corporate levels for Baxter Healthcare and Watson Pharmaceuticals. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences, has completed graduate studies in Environmental, and Occupational Health, and is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) with over 25 years of experience managing Sustainability, Risk Management, and EHS programs.
